For challenge #7, we were given an adorable mini kit from sunshine studio scraps. We had to use every piece of the mini kit to make our layout. We could alter or recolor pieces of the kit and we were allowed to add things from other kits as well if we wanted to. Here is mine:

you both grow up.
what you will look like, what you will be.
I wonder if ya will get married
I wonder if you will have children
if you do, how many will you have.
will you have girls or boys.
I wonder if my PBC will worsen
I wonder if I'll be here to

Challenge #5
For challenge number 5, we had to create a layout using three different frames but NO photos. The idea was for this layout to be about something or someone that we wanted to remember but maybe didn't have pictures for whatever reason. After all, scrapbooking is about preserving memories. I chose to do a page about my daughter. She would have been 6 years old this past December. Here is my layout:

Journaling:
We Remember Them
In the rising of the sun and in
its going down,
we remember them.
In the blowing of the wind
and the chill of the winter,
we remember them.
In the opening of buds and in
the rebirth of spring,
we remember them.
In the blueness of the sky and
in the warmth of summer,
we remember them.
In the rustling of leaves and
in the beauty of autumn,
we remember them.
In the beginning of the year
and when it ends,
we remember them.
When we are weary and in
need of strength,
we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at
heart,
we remember them.
When we have joys we yearn
to share,
we remember them.
So long as we live, they too
shall live,
for they are now a
part of us, as
we remember them.

Delivered into God's Loving arms,
but will remain in our hearts forever.
The first time your heart beat, I
felt it. I can't explain how, but I
just knew. Even though I never got
to see your first smile, hear your
first words, or watch proudly as
you took your first steps I am still
happy that you were a part of me.

Here's my #4 Challenge.
The layout had to be artsy and have "soul" journaling. Here's mine:
Credits: Papers and elements (swirl altered) - The Vintage Colors by MOI from Digital Crea; Wings - Cozy Cottage by Cinnamon Designs
Fonts: Susie's Hand
Waterfalls
Stamped DSG
Journaling: Seeing your sweet, smiling face everyday simply reminds me of how precious life is. I promise you that I will cherish every moment, for those moments pass so quickly. I will reflect how much joy you bring into my life. Every smile, every laugh melts my heart. I know that I do not want to miss a single moment of your life. I want to be around for it all. In knowing how precious your life is, I have also realized even more that mine is as well. So, my son, my biggest promise to you is that I will remember this lesson always and take care of myself so that you will always have me to lean on.

Challenge 4 Artsy and soul journaling
I can't believe that is been 11 years sonce you were born. I can remeber it like it was yesturday. You were so small and precious. You were a happy baby and you are still a happy person. You are growing up so fast! Soon you will be a teenager, too soon. I can only pray that you will keep the Lord close to your heart throughout these trying years to come.

ADSR Challenge #3
Well, our third challenge was quite fun and pretty simple too. For this one we had to choose the first layout we had posted in a gallery (any of our galleries would be fine) and scrap lift it. We had to use the same picture(s) and the same title and journaling but the elements, papers, and general sketch of the layout could be different. I had fun with this one because it show my favorite thing about digital scrapbooking - the way you can use the exact same photos and make two (or more) completely different pages. I love the creativity of it! You can see my original layout here. Here is the new one submitted for challenge 3 in the ADSR.
Credits: papers and most elements "Joy to the world" by Ashley Olson; twisted ribbon "Sweet as Christmas" by Pixelfairy-Design; Frayed Fabric by Gunhild Storeide
Journaling: You are a lucky boy. You get to celebrate Christmas twice. Once with Mommy and Daddy, and then again in January with Nana and Paw Paw. This year, you got a push car and you couldn't wait for Daddy to put it together. You even tried to help.
